Caesars Sports is offering up to a $1,500 match bet for first-time deposits in New Jersey, West Virginia, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Virginia, Tennessee, Arizona, New York and Louisiana. Prediction: Philadelphia Eagles Over 9.5 Wins Their games against Washington and New York give them an edge against teams outside the NFC East that are forced to play top-caliber opponents throughout their divisional games like the AFC West, AFC North, NFC West and even the AFC East. It is always hard to know what to expect from the Cowboys, but Philadelphia has potential to take them down. Philadelphia has an advantage of playing in a winnable division in the NFC East. This season, their opponents combine for just 133 wins, 11 less than their schedule last year, which ranks 30th in the pre-season SOS rankings, giving them a noticeably easier schedule for a much improved team. That was against a schedule that ranked 18th in the strength of schedule (SOS) standings to end the season, playing against a combined 144 wins in 2021. Last season, without the new additions to this team, the Eagles outscored opponents by 3.5 PPG on average (13th in the NFL) and out-gained opponents by over 31 YPG (8th in the NFL)! They acquired Brown from the Titans and added Zac Pascal as well in free agency, giving Jalen Hurts multiple threats, weapons and options, and adding a slightly more experienced presence to go alongside Devonta Smith and Quez Watkins. Philadelphia’s offense didn’t take many major hits this offseason, but the draft also allowed them to at Cam Jurgens who is a long term option to help solidify this offensive line, very similar to the style that Jason Kelce has already made famous in the city.Īlthough, in potentially one of the biggest trades of the offseason, Philadelphia also went out and added a huge offensive weapon for Jalen Hurts in AJ Brown. Not to mention the addition of James Bradberry who is the ideal replacement for Steven Nelson. The Eagles also picked up Jordan Davis in the draft who has the potential to do everything Hassan Ridgeway did, and more. On the defensive side of things, the signing of linebackers Haason Reddick and Kyzir White could potentially be enough to replace Avery and Singleton, but they also went out and drafted Nakobe Dean, who could be one of the biggest additions of the offseason. Yet the impressive offseason for the Philadelphia Eagles has compensated enough in my opinion to pick up at least one more win this season. CB Steven Nelson started 16 games last season and played over 87% of the snaps, while Rodney McLeod started 13 games and tallied 58 tackles at the safety position. They also lost Hassan Ridgeway on the DL who appeared in 17 games, but started just 1, and Steven Nelson and Rodney McLeod out of the secondary. They lost some pieces on defense like linebackers Genard Avery and Alex Singleton, who combined for 32 games played and 20 starts. The first thing that caught my eye was the fact that the 9.5 total for this season was just a half win higher than their total from last year.
